Divina & Dymphna’s Day-glo Tour

Divina & Dymphna’s Day-glo Tour

Divina De Campo and Dymphna Darcey team up for a Routemaster bus tour to pay homage to Llandudno’s lost theatres. Climb aboard an authentic vintage vehicle for a leisurely trail to visit vanished vaudeville haunts. Discover a potted history of each location via your mute conductor Dymphna and hear delectable Divina channel her inner diva with a belting lament to the venue’s passing.

Dymphna D’Arcy: BA.MA Dancer/Artist/Film Maker

I am interested in the cross fertilisation of ideas which I explore through dance, theatre, film video and performance blending and mixing till something new emerges. I am excited by the unexpected and the consequential effects of time on place and its influence on our personal sense of place and identity. Through my practice I explore the unconscious shards of history that can effect and influence the way we respond and relate to a certain place, and the manner in which the present becomes the past a point of departure moving along a line towards the future. We interpret our surroundings through experiences based on our values and memories where spaces become imbued and instilled with meaning and relevance.
