’T O N I G H T’ is a nocturnal project which will take place on the windows of the façade of MOSTYN’s building during LLAWN, bringing the front of the building to life as dusk falls. The project has been designed to allow MOSTYN’s exhibition programme and LLAWN activities to extend their reach, while questioning how works by artists are experienced, viewed and considered.

’T O N I G H T’ presents new work by artist Gwyn Williams which responds to both the concept and context of the project. Using screen-recording software, the work by Williams continues his use of humour to break down societies’ relationship to the world – employing wit as a lens through which to engage the social and political with a tone that seems at once irreverent and poignant.

The project will be accompanied by a conversation between Gwyn Williams and Adam Carr (MOSTYN, Visual Arts Programme Curator) exchanging some thoughts about ’T O N I G H T’ and its presentation, which will be available as a text on MOSTYN’s website:

On Gwyn Williams:
Born in 1980, Williams lives and works in Clwt-y-bont. His work has been shown in a number of exhibitions, including those held at G39, Cardiff; Oriel Myrddin, Caerfyrddin; Phillips de pury, London; National Eisteddfod, Ruthin; Hackney Picturehouse, London; and Chapter, Cardiff.
